WELCOME TO NURTURED BY NOA
Supporting your journey through birth and postpartum with gentle care, ancient traditions, and deep trust in your body's innate wisdom
Supporting your journey through birth and postpartum with gentle care, ancient traditions, and deep trust in your body's innate wisdom
Birth and the postpartum period are among the most transformative experiences of your life. They can be beautiful, challenging, overwhelming, and sacred all at once. In our culture, we often expect people to navigate these experiences alone or to "bounce back" quickly. But that's not how humans are designed to do this.
You deserve continuous support during labor. You deserve rest and nourishment after birth. You deserve someone who trusts your body's wisdom and helps you trust it too.
I'm here to be that support.
Labor is unpredictable. Having someone by your side who has witnessed birth, who knows comfort measures and positioning, and who believes in your ability to birth your baby can make all the difference.
As your birth doula, I provide:
Before Labor:
Prenatal meetings to discuss your birth preferences, fears, and hopes
Evidence-based information to help you make informed decisions
Birth plan guidance (while remembering that flexibility is key)
On-call availability starting at 37 weeks
During Labor:
Continuous presence from active labor through birth
Physical comfort measures (counter-pressure, positioning, breathing techniques, touch support, acupressure)
Emotional support and encouragement
Help for your partner so they can support you effectively
Communication with your medical team when you need advocacy
A calming, grounding presence in the room
After Birth:
Support during the first golden hour of skin-to-skin and initial feeding
Help processing your birth experience
A postpartum follow-up visit at your home
I support all types of births: unmedicated, epidural, planned cesarean, and everything in between. Your birth, your choices. My job is to support YOU.
The weeks and months after birth are when you truly need a village. This is when you're healing, learning to feed your baby, surviving on broken sleep, and adjusting to a completely new identity. It's beautiful, and it's hard, often at the same time.
As your postpartum doula, I come to your home and provide:

Hands-on guidance with diapering, bathing, swaddling, and soothing
Help understanding your baby's cues and rhythms
Evidence-based information on infant sleep safety
Sibling adjustment support
Feeding Support:

I come from a family deeply immersed in Traditional Chinese Medicine. My father is a licensed acupuncturist with over 30 years of experience, and together we run Moshen Herbs, creating high-quality herbal formulas. This background shapes how I see birth and postpartum: as natural processes that benefit from gentle support, nourishment, and trust in the body's inherent wisdom.
I combine this holistic perspective with evidence-based doula training, lactation education, and a genuine belief that there's no single "right way" to birth or parent. My role is to support you in finding YOUR way.
I support families throughout Pima County. My clients include:
First-time parents navigating everything for the first time
Parents adding to their family who want different support this time
LGBTQ+ families seeking affirming, inclusive care
Families seeking holistic, minimal-intervention approaches
Anyone who wants support trusting their body and their instincts
Parents recovering from difficult births who need extra care
Anyone feeling isolated and needing their village
I believe your body knows what it's doing.
My role isn't to manage your birth or fix your postpartum experience. It's to support you in trusting yourself, to offer information when you need it, and to hold space for whatever your journey brings.
I support all feeding methods without judgment.
Breast, bottle, formula, pumping, combination. Your feeding choices are yours alone.
I honor all birth experiences.
Home birth, hospital birth, unmedicated, epidural, cesarean. Every birth deserves to be witnessed and respected.
I see postpartum as sacred.
This is not a time to "bounce back." This is a time to be nurtured while you nurture your baby.
I offer a free 20-minute consultation where we can talk about your needs, answer your questions, and see if we're the right fit. There's no pressure and no obligation.
